Frustrated with not making the income you want on your blog? Find out how to make 100K with only 200 visitors per day!

Note: Some links in this post contain affiliate links, which means I may receive a commission if you make a purchase. That’s actually one of the ways you make money blogging! Thanks for supporting my blogging dreams! 🙂

So a common goal for bloggers when they first start out is to get as much traffic as possible. Honestly, I don’t even think that people know why they need traffic they just have this instinctive drive to get as much traffic as possible!! LOL

But on a more serious note, people know that a lot of traffic means more money from ads, but that’s not the only or even the best way to make money from a blog, and I’m going to get more into what the best way is but first I want to give you a little of my blogging background.

I basically spent all of 2015 learning all I could about blogging. I purchased and took the  AWAI’s Accelerated Program for Six-Figure Copywriting. It’s a $500 program and I caught it on a sale for like $200. It was worth every penny. It taught me the importance of copywriting and how to write effective copy.

I also purchased Yaro Starak’s Blog Mastermind course. I couldn’t afford it at the time but I knew that if I wanted to make a change with my blogging business, I had to invest in myself.

I invested in this course immediately after landing on his blog–I didn’t even buy any of his smaller priced products first to test him out I just went all out and purchased his most expensive product. I was just THAT  impressed with him.

The course is AMAZING! He’s honestly taught me 90% of everything I know in regards to blogging. He has so many free resources that teaches about blogging for profit and I highly recommend you read his blog if nothing else.

Anywho, he taught me that the most effective way to make a blog make money for you is to create a sales funnel. A sales funnel consists of:

  1. Your blog
  2. Freebies (how people opt-in to your list)
  3. Introductory Offer
  4. Core Offer

Now I am in the process of implementing all that I have learned in 2015. As of yet,, I do not have a core offer on my blog but I am planning on launching a mastermind site that will be my core offer in the spring.

Even though I have never created a core offer before, I wanted to show you just how possible it is for you to make money with a sales funnel on your blog.

This idea is straight from Yaro so all credit is given to him. I know that this concept will work because I already see the first two steps coming true on my blog that’s only been around since last October!

Here’s Step-by-Step How to Make 100K from Only 200 Blog Visitors per Day

  1. Let’s say you reach 200 visitors per day (reasonable goal)
  2. ONLY 10 of them sign up for your freebie everyday (you’ve already tested this freebie out and know that its something that people really want!)
  3. 1 person per day buys your introductory offer priced at $20 or less. This offer complements your high-converting freebie.
  4. 1 out of every 10 person that purchases your introductory offer becomes a super fan and spends at least $5000 per year on your products.

That equals

  • 6000 blog visitors per month
  • 300 subscribers per month
  • 30 people who purchase your introductory offer per month priced at $20 ($600)
  • 3 super fans created each month ($15,000)

= $216,000 per year!!!

Read Yaro’s entire article on the subject here.

Yeah I was excited when he shared this concept too! The thing I love about this theory is that I can make the money that I want with my blog AND focus on creating real relationships with people instead of trying to amass this huge following which could take me years.

What do you think about this concept? Are you ready to start implementing a sales funnel on your blog? Have you already? Tell me in the comments below!

Thank you for reading day 12 of my blogging challenge! Make sure to post your article in the Facebook group and if you haven’t joined my blogging challenge yet and would like to be a part of it, check this out!

Thanks for sharing. This is the simplest and best description I’ve seen on a sales funnel thus far. Appreciate the clarity. Goals for 2016 are on building our core introductory and core offers. Thanks so much for the simplicity and clarity.

I like the idea in theory, but how has it been in practice? Have you actually seen those kind of results? I’ve been blogging for a while and have seen a lot of “could do it” programs, but a lot of bloggers don’t get the results. 😀

Yaro uses this himself. It’s really the use of a sales funnel that makes it possible to have such small blog traffic with so much profit. Many of the bloggers that I follow use and currently have in place the use of a sales funnel (and they make a lot of money doing it!). Some bloggers use the sales funnel method and you may not even notice it. Pat Flynn from Smart Passive Income, Dale from StartUPCamp.com, Ramit Sethi from Iwillteachyouhowtoberich.com all use the sales funnel method to make thousands of dollars per month. You’re right most bloggers don’t make this amount of money from their blog. However, one of the purposes of this blog is to help more bloggers make this amount of money so that one day we can say that most bloggers make a lot of money from blogging! 🙂 Thanks for commenting.

My blog, as a lifestyle blog, is a bit tougher to come up with a good offer that I’m happy with. I’ve been thinking on it for the past few months (because I’m really not happy with my freebie) and I think I have some ideas for freebies and the introductory offer. But, I’m still clueless on what I would want to do for the core offer. You’ve given me something to think about! Thank you!

I had another reader say the same thing about her lifestyle blog. I really love all your recipes. You could offer meal planning worksheets, meal planning books, receipe books, etc. Also, those $5 meal plans are really popular on Pinterest. Check out what some of your fav bloggers are doing for more inspiration. Thanks for stopping by Mary!

I am JUST beginning to dive into this. I spent the last month of 2015 developing a blog about Toddler Schooling. For 2016 I’ve landed affiliates where I can sell my lesson plans online. I think, this is the beginning to a sales funnel… I just have to figure out what my freebie will be!

This is a real eye opener!

You’re right, the best investment we can make is in ourselves and our education is far from over.

Having pros show you how they do it is awesome and even if it means paying for gold information, then by any means do it.

I’ve got to step up my game and start seeing my blog as a business as opposed to seeing it as a hobby!

    Thanks for sharing 😉

Hey Carolyn, one thing Yaro says is that even if you don’t think you’re an expert in your field, you know a lot more than a lot of people and have more than enough knowledge to make money off of. If I were to become a parent now I wouldn’t know a thing and by you being a parent already, you would be considered an “expert” in my eyes since you have tons more parenting knowledge than me!

There is a huge trend in blogging right now to sell “How To Blog” resources. While some are worthwhile and authentic, the majority are not. My best advice is to consider the source…This is not directed at the course you mentioned specifically but there a lot of people calling themselves “experts” right now that aren’t even making $20K a year via blogging, be wise, Fellow Bloggers, be wise! There is no free lunch or shortcuts to really “making it”. Just my 2 cents!

Great post – I’ve been following Yaro for years. I think the reason it doesn’t work for so many people is simply because they think it has to be more difficult than that. They hold themselves back – I can’t believe how many people comment to me “Well, I haven’t started building a list yet…” and they’ve been blogging for a year or two already!

You’d be shocked at how much money people spend online. Many popular/successful bloggers have spent 50K or more on coaches and programs–I’m talking an insane amount of money! As I get more serious about blogging I can easily see myself investing thousands of dollars per year in education and training.
